Glencannon Community AssociationWetland Grant Project
In February 2012 the Glencannon Communtiy Associtation was awarded a grant through the Fairfax County Neighborhood Enhancement Partnership Program in response to the application that had been submitted in October 2011. The project was designed to address concerns around the creek as related to the Piney Branch sub-Watershed of the Cheasapeake Bay Watershed. After extensive hours of research and meetings with Fairfax County Storm Water Planning Division Watershed Branch and Virginia Department of Forestry a plan was developed and work begun.
