Welcome to the Glencannon Community Association website! Glencannon is a 74 home community in Vienna, Virginia situated off of scenic Lawyers Road. Glencannon has six classic architectural types of residences in the community on handsome elevation variations of land. The community also has a 24-acre Certified Wildlife Habitat, designated by the National Wildlife Federation, community park with walking paths, a playground and picnic benches. Founded in 1972, the Glencannon community has progressively managed itself through the Glencannon Community Association.
Located about fifteen miles outside Washington, D.C.; Vienna, Virginia has a distinctive small town friendliness, community spirit and widely cherished traditional values. Vienna holds many events throughout the year, including ViVa Vienna Festival on Memorial Day weekend and the Annual Vienna Halloween Parade down Maple Avenue. In 2013, Money Magazine ranked Vienna third on its list of the 50 best places to live in the United States. Glencannon offers both easy accessibility to local stores, and is within 7 miles of larger shopping centers such as Tysons Corner, Fair Oaks Mall, and Reston Town Center. Glenncannon is also only 2 miles from the Vienna Metro Station, which is the end of the orange line. Prefer the performing arts over shopping? Around the corner (less than 6 miles away) is Wolftrap National Park for the Performing Arts. There is also easy access to the W&OD trail for walking, running, and biking.
